My assessment:
1) I put the blame mostly on Ferguson
It was plain hubris to play the game like Man U was Barcelona's equivalent playing "beautiful" soccer.
Man U's talent lies in teamplay and hustle with moments of brilliance ... to think that playing wide open was a good idea was pure stupidity. They needed to control the game from the mid-field and didn't
2) to not play Tevez from the start was stupid ... he thrives on games like these and has consistently performed ... Rooney consistently under performs under these conditions
3) I think Ronaldo's efforts were half-a**ed at best and I think part of it has to do with the tensions between him and Fergie ... not allowing him to play the whole game against Arsenal and not at all against Hull lost him the Golden Boots to Nicolas Anelka ... he is immature enough to take that personally and let it affect his game.. Personally I think he should go to Real Madrid, in spite of his moments of brilliance this season
